About the SSFA Academy

Our vision is to strengthen grassroots football by providing all players with the opportunity to be the best player they can be by having access to high-quality coaching and player development opportunities. In doing so, the SSFA ACADEMY will reinforce the technical foundation for all players within SSFA, increasing player engagement and the quality of football played.

Tailored Training Programs

SSFA ACADEMY offers year-round football development programs for all footballers within the Sutherland Shire Football Association, conducted by professional and experienced development coaches.

One on One Coaching 

Accredited SSFA coaches offer guidance to U8- U16 Boys & Girls on how to execute the 4 core skills of football, which include Running with the Ball, Striking the ball, 1st Touch, and 1v1.

Group Coaching

This method of coaching provides the opportunity for players to train with a group of friends who wish to develop and improve their game in an intensive 1-hour session  Group coaching is open to U8-U16 Boys & Girls. Group sizes are from 2 to 4. Prices vary on group size.

Team Coaching

Working with a team coach over a 10, 15, or 20-week program where players can improve technical/tactical game skills & positional play under the guidance of an SSFA Advanced Coach, in a structured game-related environment. Open to teams of all abilities, perfect for teenage & young adult teams. Can be run at your club or at a convenient venue.
